Finnish studio Seriously adds trio of key hires to its ranks

Best Fiends developer Seriously has added a trio of senior hires as it looks to continue expanding its operations and its flagship IP as an entertainment franchise.

Former Next Games technical director of engineering Sylvain Cunzi joined as VP of games technology, while ex-Raine associate Brian Ru has signed up as director of strategy and operations.

Former Fox special counsel Jamie Samson, meanwhile, has joined as legal counsel.

Serious business

The news comes as Seriously CEO Andrew Stalbow revealed that the Best Fiends games had garnered over $150 million in lifetime revenue since the first instalment launched four years ago, racking up more than 85m downloads.

“We’re lucky to have an opportunity to build out our world," said Stalbow.

"It’s good to see the foundations going deeper as we connect our game, our animations and our consumer products through a mobile experience that we curate.

“Our business growth is evidence that we are on the right path, and we are excited about the next chapter in our story.”
