Last week, free-to-play mobile gaming portal Cellufun raised $1 million in bridge financing from current investor Longworth Venture Partners as it seeks a larger multi-million dollar second round of funding.
Now, to set a context for those discussions, it's released a set of numbers so we can better gauge its performance to-date.
The headline is that growth of registered players is over 150,000 per month, and now tops two million.
Previously, the company stated a softer figure of five million unique monthly users.
Of course, registered users are a better indication of a business' longterm sustainability, particularly for a company such as Cellufun, which hopes to fund activity from ads and micro-transactions.
By definition, registered users are much more likely to be regular visitors than flighty uniques.
Other figures announced include that the average user spends more than seven hours monthly in Cellufun, with demographics split 55% female, 45% male within the 16-34 age range.
Approximately a quarter of users have smartphones while three quarters have basic feature phones.
Unsurprisingly however, there was no indication of any average revenue per user figures.
Neil Edwards, Cellufun CEO said, "Cellufun's two million members spend huge amounts of time every month in our community with their friends, playing games and shopping for virtual goods.
"We are the first and only social community and casual gaming company in the world that works on any phone with a data plan that also supports the purchase of virtual goods in any currency from anywhere in the world."
The company also predicts "exponential growth" during its fourth quarter, thanks to soon-to-be announced partnerships from additional major mobile operators in North America, Asia and Europe.
Current on deck partners include Verizon and MetroPCS, while the likes of AOL and USA Today are content partners, from whom Cellular builds branded gaming sites which link back to its main portal.
