Pocket God gets comic deal
Taking cross-platform publishing to the next next level, Pocket God developer Bolt Creative has signed a deal to take its sadistic, episodic-based islander torture app to comic book form.

The full colour, four issue mini-series will be published by Ape Entertainment, initially with a digital version released through iVerse Media, its digital distribution partner,

A print version will be made available shortly thereafter, featuring previously-unreleased content. A collected trade paperback is also anticipated.

"We're extremely excited to be working with Bolt Creative to bring Pocket God into the comic book space," says Ape co-publisher Brent E. Erwin.

"Our goal is to expose some of the 2.1 million Pocket God fans to the world of comics, and conversely introduce comic book fans to the world of Pocket God with this fun and exciting endeavour."

"A comic book series is a natural extension of the Pocket God brand," noted Dave Castelnuovo, Bolt Creative's CEO. "Ape Entertainment is the perfect partner to help bring our island to book form."

The digital download version of the comic will also include an app that enables consumers to locate their nearest comic book retailer.
