Sauce Digital launches AppDope game discovery site
Another day. Another iPhone developer is launching its own discovery website to promote its and other indie developers' games.

AppDope is the work of Morgan Davies, who operating as Sauce Digital, has released iPhone games such as Nano Rally, Killer Pool, Touch Soccer 3D and Amoebas.

Originally started to give away promo codes - this still occurs every Friday - it also provides information about new iPhone games and any games that have had their price cut. You can filter the results in terms of attributes such as genre and star rating. There's also a news and review section.

"I created the site because it was something I personally wanted to use and thought other iPhone users might like too," Davies says.

"Also it helps promote games. Success on the App Store is a hard thing to achieve, at least for indie developers who don't have a marketing budget like the big boys. It's great meeting other indie creatives too, and they've already told me the site is making a difference."
