The growing power of Nokia's Ovi store has been further underlined by the news that German publisher HandyGames has done one million downloads in a month.
Okay, so the games - Guns'n'Glory, Shark or Die and Tattoo Tycoon - are full free, ad-supported products, but nevertheless it demonstrates that there are a lot of Nokia devices out there.
Ovi has recently been overhauled, improving performance especially for Nokia's new Symbian^3 family of smartphones such as the N8.
Pushing an open door
And talking to Mobile Entertainment, HandyGames' CEO Christopher Kassulke goes further saying the company's target is five million Ovi downloads before the end of 2010.
"The mobile game market is unique. Hardly any other gaming platform is able to reach so many users in such a short time," he explained.
