GameHorizon signs up Epic Games as headline sponsor

Rein and co. to help expand project

GameHorizon signs up Epic Games as headline sponsor
Billed as a landmark event in the project's history, GameHorizon has signed up Epic Games as a 'headline sponsor', with the developer vowing to help expand its footprint within the games community.

Epic will both sponsor the GameHorizon Conference 2011 Speaker Dinner, as well as present at the event itself, which will run in Newcastle on June 28-29.

Epic deal

"We are pleased to have the support of Epic Games and already our members have seen solid benefits from this partnership, with VP Mark Rein recently flying over from the US to keynote our Go Go Games mobile industry event," said GameHorizon head Carri Cunliffe of the deal.

GameHorizon claims it is now completely funded privately, sustained both by membership and private contacts, as well as sponsorship deals with the likes of Epic Games.

"We strongly believe in the UK development community," added Epic Games VP Mark Rein.

"Participating in events such as Go Go Games and GameHorizon is a good way for us to show it. Our new European Territory Manager, Mike Gamble, is a trusted industry vet dedicated to helping developers achieve success with our technology and we have more events planned for the UK later this year."

Those looking to register for the GameHorizon Conference should visit the event's website.
