GREE continues to snap up companies that will help its platform conquer mobile devices over the planet.
The latest deal sees it take a strategic investment in Japanese HTML5 tech outfit Wizcorp.
Terms weren't disclosed, but Wizcorp said that GREE may use its Mithril engine for a number of games in the US and international markets.
Special silver
Based on the 'latest communication, data storage and code execution', Wizcorp says Mithril is 'blazing fast', while its 'superb scalability' enables publishers to spend less money on servers.
"We are delighted about the partnership with GREE," said CEO Guillaume Hansali.
"Its endorsement of Mithril reinforces our belief in developing the best new technologies and reaffirms our goal of becoming the de facto standard-bearers for excellence in social game development."
Amongst others, GREE has also invested in app promo channel FreeAppADay, Japanese developer Cave, as well as setting up various start up funds to encourage developers to support its platform.
