Finnish developer Remedy has been defined by big, narrative console-based projects such as Alan Wake and Max Payne.
However, the success of Death Rally - a remake of a 1990s game - for iOS and Android is changing this.
The company's announced that the paid and free versions of the title - which was mainly developed by an external team - have been downloaded more than 10 million times.
"We're thrilled at Death Rally's numbers. 10 million downloads and 100 million play sessions is a great milestone," said Remedy CEO Matias Myllyrinne.
Time to invest
So, on the back of that success, Remedy is now staffing up its own internal teams for mobile and tablet game development.
There's no official news yet about what it's working on, but the company has confirmed to PocketGamer.biz that it's planning to bring its characteristic high quality narrative experiences to the platform.
We'd bet that means more than just a port of Alan Wake.
