Pokemon GO is now estimated to have broken $1 billion in revenues only seven months after launch.
Sensor Tower estimates that the game surpassed this figure on January 31st and is the fastest mobile game to have passed $1 billion in revenues in the history of the app stores.
It has also beaten major rival Clash Royale to the $1 billion mark. The Supercell-developed title was released ten months ago, and had only generated $550 million in revenues in its first seven months of launch.
A long future
Sensor Tower also claims that Pokemon GO is currently generating between $1.5 million and $2.5 million a day at present. This is in stark contrast to initial figures of the $18 million it made in one day during its launch month.
Pokemon GO still has a long future ahead of it. The game has proven that it can handle live events and use them to generate significant revenues and engagement.
It recently launched in South Korea, where it immediately jumped to second place on the iOS top grossing ranks. However, it could not beat Netmarble's behemoth Lineage 2: Revolution to the top spot.
