Next month sees the annual Meffys, the mobile industry awards ceremony run by the Mobile Entertainment Forum.
They've just announced the nominations, including a dedicated mobile games category for which Pocket Gamer took part in the judging. The five nominees for Best Mobile Game are:
World Poker Tour: Texas Hold 'Em 2 (Hands-On)
Metal Gear Solid Mobile (Konami)
Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 (Konami)
Hooked On: Creatures of the Deep (Nokia)
Hollywood Hospital (Player X)
Not a bad field, eh? And the gaming doesn't end there. Nokia has scooped a nomination in the Innovative Business Model category for its N-Gage First Access service.
Meanwhile, Zeemote is celebrating two nominations for its Zeemote JS1 controller, in the Technology Innovation category, and the Quality Of Experience category.
Congratulations and good luck to all the nominees. We'll be in Cannes for the awards reporting live on the winners next month.
