Mobile fiction platform Bound has partnered with developer Obsidian Entertainment for a series of digital stories set in the Pillars of Eternity universe.
The deal will see a novella published on the platform, along with a series of shorter stories. The tales will be written by New York Times and USA Today bestselling fantasy author Richard Knaak.
The partnership comes following a successful campaign on Fig for Obsidian's PC game Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire. Backers of the campaign will also receive a PDF of the stories, while everyone else will be able to read them for free on the Bound app.

"A big thank you again to our incredible backers, who have made it possible for us to tell even more stories within the Pillars of Eternity universe," said Obsidian Entertainment CEO Feargus Urquhart.
"As a huge reader of both sci-fi and fantasy, it's personally exciting to me to have an author of such talent working in one of our worlds."
Bound has previously worked with mobile game developer Gunslinger Studios on a series of stories based on its upcoming game Exiles of Embermark. The stories were penned by author Andrew Saxsma.
