Com2uS has posted its financials for its Q3 FY17 for the three months ending September 30th 2017.
It saw revenues of $112.8 million for the quarter, up 6.4% quarter-on-quarter. Net income grew 28.8% quarter-on-quarter to $35.7 million. Overseas revenues alone came to $98.9 million, with North America and Europe accounting for 61% of all overseas revenues generated.
The company's flagship title Summoners War was the key driver of revenue, though Com2uS did not break out any sales figures for the title. MLB 9 Innings 17 and Golf Star were also highlighted for their "stellar earnings" in the quarter.
Summoning strength
Looking ahead, Com2uS is continuing its big push to expand the Summoners War IP, with the upcoming MMO based on the game still in development. It will also release a number of other games, including Majestia, Birdie Crush, Heroes War 2, and a VR version of Ace Fishing expected in 2017.
Summoners War is also seeing a strong push into eSports, with the conclusion to its Summoners War World Arena Championship taking place on November 25th in Los Angeles. Competitors will battle for a share of a $50,000 prize pool, while attendees can also expect influencers, cosplayers, and contests to keep them entertained.
The game surpassed $1 billion in lifetime revenues back in August 2017. It is also being considered for a movie, anime, and more.
