PlayRaven will no longer be working on Eve: Online tie-in strategy game War of Ascension.
Instead, the company will be focussed on its new role under the wing of one of Finland’s biggest entertainment companies.
The strategy developer was picked up by Angry Birds developer Rovio at the tail end of November. The Finnish giant is hoping PlayRaven will help it expand into the increasingly-popular mobile strategy games space.
Eve of war
PlayRaven partnered with Eve: Online developer CCP Games in October 2017, to develop the then-titled strategy Project Aurora. Following PlayRaven’s acquisition, CCP issued a clarification revealing that PlayRaven will no longer be working on its mobile Eve: Online tie-in title.
“All future development for Eve: War of Ascension will be handled by an internal team at CCP London,” said a PR rep for CCP in an email to PocketGamer.biz.
“CCP thanks PlayRaven for their contribution to Eve: War of Ascension and wishes them the best for the future.”
Kongregate soft-launched War of Ascension in the Philipines back in June this year.
