Honor of Kings once again took the number one spot on the global top grossing mobile game charts in October 2017.
This is based on SuperData Research's monthly Worldwide Digital Games Market report, which has studied the top grossing games of October 2017.
Tencent's MOBA had been knocked off the top spot by NetEase's Fantasy Westward Journey in September 2017. The MMO has now dropped back to second place, while Netmarble's Lineage M has held firm at third.
A new challenger
The top ten highest grossing games worldwide in September 2017 were:
- Honour of Kings
- Fantasy Westward Journey
- Lineage M
- Clash of Clans
- Monster Strike
- Lineage 2 Revolution
- Fate/Grand Order
- Clash Royale
- Candy Crush Saga
- King of Chaos
The main change in the rankings is a boost for Lineage 2 Revolution's revenues. The game had been out of the top ten since June 2017, but reappeared in last month's chart and will likely climb higher in November's positions following its global release.
One very small shake-up in the usually unaltered rankings is King of Chaos entering at number 10. It is a Tencent-developed game which was noted as having contributed to revenue growth in the company's latest financials.
