Seriously pushes Best Fiends franchise beyond games with Best Fiends: Boot Camp animation

Seriously has launched its first animation based on its Best Fiends franchise called Best Fiends: Boot Camp.

The short film was produced by animation studio Reel FX, known for its feature-film The Book of Life. Voice talent comes from big-name actors such as Mark Hamill, Pamela Adlon and Kate Walsh.

Seriously is pitching the animation as proof that the Best Fiends brand can become a major entertainment property.

A second animation titled Visit Minutia is set to be released in summer 2017, with further short films launching throughout the year.

Beyond the game

"We have been fortunate to work with some of the best talent in the industry to create a fantastic, hilarious animated experience that further brings the world of Best Fiends to life beyond our first two mobile games," said Andrew Stalbow, CEO and Co-Founder, Seriously.

"Given the audience shift from incumbent media platforms like televisions and movie theaters, we’re focused on building a world on your mobile, with the characters, stories and music you would expect from a Hollywood animated franchise."

Seriously has previously worked with Kate Walsh on its advertising campaign Don't Download Best Fiends. It won YouTube's Ad of the Year award in 2016, which Seriously's SVP of Brand & Marketing Philip Hickey called a "huge honour".
