Last week, PocketGamer.biz was in Shanghai for the ChinaJoy 2013 show.
The name itself is something of a misnomer seeing as it acts as the title for a largescale consumer show, as well as a number of different trade conferences.
These include the China Game Business Conference, the China Game Developers Conference, the China International Digital Entertainment Forum, and the World Mobile Game Conference.
Plenty for newbie attendees like me to get their heads around, then.
Ready for your close-up
As well as the various events, we also caught up with some of the big players in the market, notably Yodo1 and iDreamsky, both of whom work with international developers to bring their mobile games into China.
We also bumped into Manish Agarwal, CEO of Reliance Games, who told us why India will be the next exploding market in terms of mobile game revenue.
Oh, and because you'd be disappointed otherwise, we took a quick run around the consumer show to check out the various entertainments.
'We're seeing 50 to 100 percent quarter-on-quarter growth', says Chinese publisher Yodo1.
'Dealing with 10 app stores is harder than dealing with 400 app stores', says iDreamcast's Jeff Lyndon.
'India is the next big mobile games market', says Reliance Games' Manish Agarwal.
