Apparently, 180 games isn't enough for Kakao.
The Korean-based mobile messaging platform is making it easier for developers to integrate and deploy their games on the social network that has over 100 million users, mainly in Korea and south east Asia.
According to This Is Game, games that fulfill one of two conditions will be fast-tracked onto the Kakao Game Platform.
It is about the money
The first condition is that already released games have ranked within the top 20 charts - either top grossing or download - on Google Play or the Apple App Store for more than a week.
The other condition is that a developer's previous game on Kakao has generated revenue of more than 100 million KRW (around $90,000).
According to Kakao, 60 percent of games on its platform already meet this condition.
The move could be a double-edged sword for developers, however.
Although some games on the platform are generating millions - Devsisters' Cookie Run is a good example - with five or six new titles already being released on a weekly basis, more games is likely to further dilute virality and revenue opportunities.
