New development outfit Balloon 27 which set up shop a matter of days ago has announced it's to take its first steps in the Japanese market.
The firm - helmed by Ignition Entertainment founder Ajay Chadha - is to open a new base in Tokyo headed up by Kaz Takeshita, who has previously worked at the likes of SNK, Acclaim and Ignition.
However, though B27 is a relative newcomer, it's international ambitions shouldn't come as a surprise, with Chadha having previously revealed to PocketGamer.biz that the firm already has an "international mentality".
Endless possibilities
B27 claims the new Tokyo base has been set up with the intention of publishing games from development partners from across the Asia Pacific.
B27's Japanese studio will be based in Tokyo, with the aim of working with publishing, and development partners in the Asian Pacific territories.
B27's first release Hill Bill
"We welcome Kaz to the B27 family and are excited to announce the opening of B27 in Tokyo," said Chadha.
"Kaz has a rich heritage in the Japanese games market and we look forward to him growing B27 in the Asian Pacific region."
B27 hopes to self-publish four games in 2013, the first of which will be Hill Bill, a motorcycle trick jumping game set to launch on iOS and Android.

What do you call someone who has an unhealthy obsession with video games and Sean Bean? That'd be a 'Chris Kerr'. Chris is one of those deluded souls who actually believes that one day Sean Bean will survive a movie. Poor guy.
