As part of Pocket Gamer Connects San Francisco 2015, Amit Khanduja, CEO of Reliance Entertainment – Digital, gave a talk on the impressive growth of India as a mobile gaming market.

According to Khanduja, there are "25 million handsets a month" being added to the market, with a prediction of 300 million handsets being used by the end of 2015.

Because of this, "India is connecting to the internet through their mobile devices", mainly because of the availability of cheap clones of Android phones in the region.

Interestingly, to combat this, Apple has reduced the price of their iPhones in India, so "iOS is growing quite rapidly because of the shift in their strategy."
