Lineage M breaks $1.2 billion in revenue a year after release

NCSoft’s MMO Lineage M has pulled in more than $1.2 billion in revenue.

That comes from The Investor, which report that the Lineage mobile port took just one year to reach this point, following its launch in June 2017.

Lineage M has also reportedly become the most popular app in both the Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store in several countries including Korea, Taiwan and Japan.

Lineage M has been a continued success for NCSoft since its launch last year. It is thought to have generated more than $233 million in revenue during its first month and is also said to have contributed massively to the $894.7 million made from NCSoft's mobile games business in 2017.

According to the company’s CEO Kim Taek-jin, a global launch for the title is also being worked on along with a different version of the title which will be showcased soon.

The new massively multiplayer online role-playing game is set to remain loyal to the series formula.

Players will be able to create a character by choosing from a variety of classes and titles and can set up a team with other players to vanquish monstrous foes in an array of environments.

The new Lineage title will be revealed in Japan first before journeying North America and China.
