Singapore-based mobile studio Mighty Bear Gameshas raised several million dollars in a seed funding round.
This investment will be used to expand the team and develop and launch the studio’s first set of titles.
The funding round was led by US-based gaming investors Skycatcher, Everblue and M Ventures.
Mighty Bear claimed the investment is one of the largest seed funding rounds in Southeast Asia. Previously it had raised $775k in a pre-seed round in 2017.

The Mighty Bear team is currently market testing its first game in the Philippines and India ahead of a full global launch on iOS and Android later this year.
“Having world-class investors in games and technology from the US, Europe and Asia is immense,” said Mighty Bear CEO Simon Davis.
“The diversity of expertise will be a great asset especially as we prepare to launch our first game this month and scale globally in the months ahead.”
Mighty Bear was formed in October 2016 following the closure of King’s Singapore studio Nonstop Games - two years after the Candy Crush Saga developer had acquired it.
Davis previously told PocketGamer.biz the studio’s aim was to target the mainstream market rather than ‘core’ players
"I don't really like the term casual, because I don't think there's anything casual, for example, about someone who's spent a thousand hours player Candy Crush," said Davis at the time.
"But we want to reach out to players who don't normally play multiplayer games and PvP and that kind of thing, and bring them into that kind of world as well. We think we can create a game that has that crossover potential."
