Japanese marketing network Dentsu invests in US superfan platform Victorious

In a move underlining the shift from traditional UA platforms to user-generated networks, Japanese marketing network Dentsu has invested in US superfan startup Victorious.

The deal is the seventh that Dentsu has undertaken through its Dentsu Venture Capital Fund, which is targeting US, European and Asian markets.

Better fans

Victorious enables social media influencers to better engage with their audiences, and so-called superfans, notably by including fan-generated content such as gifs, polls and images within the influences' app.

It has over 100 apps using its platform including Katie Price, Fouseytube, Ryan Huga and IISuperwomanII (Lilly Singh).
