Gamevil claims its $10 million partner fund designed to back up promising titles from indie outfits has been highly successful venture, serving up a large portion of its 46 strong games line up in 2012.
As a result, the Korean publisher has set aside a further $10 million to reach out to developers during the next 12 months, citing an intention to support an industry "filled with talented individuals."
The genre game
"Since last year, we have successfully deployed use of the $10 million in its entirety to various indie developers across the world," the firm said in a statement.
"By teaming up with third party developers, we've been able to feature games that branch out of the concentrated list of RPG titles we have, and expand our library into various other genres."
Gamevil claims third parties involved have benefited from partnering with the publisher, owing to its "130 million install base on iOS and Android worldwide."
"Through partnership with the external developers, the Partner Fund covers investments into the company or project funding for the game," Gamevil concluded.
"Air Penguin and Cartoon Wars for example, has been a huge success as the top game in various countries around the world. With this previous year's success, we look forward to allotting $10 million more into the Partner Fund to invest into talented developers from all over the world."
