Gameloft's preference for distributing its Android library via its own app store is well established, though the firm is willing to court Android Market when it needs to.
As such, after initially rolling out for Android via Gameloft's website on 2 February, the publisher's standalone Gameloft Live app for the revamped social platform has now launched on Android Market.
Live and let live
As before, the new app delivers a 3D interface, as well as features such as avatar creation and customisation, messaging and real-time chatting, achievements, leaderboards, rewards and challenges.
Special promotions and offers are also being employed, helping Gameloft drive downloads of selective titles.
More info on the app, which will also launch on iOS soon, can be found here.
