Social giant Zynga is to open up a new development base in Oregon following the acquisition of US studio Buzz Monkey.
The 50 strong development team which has worked on franchises such as Tomb Raider and Tony Hawk for consoles and has also released games on iOS, Android and Facebook (see video below) is set to operate as a "satellite" for Zynga.
The studio will also take on Zynga's company colours moving forward, with its new owner vowing to expand its employee base in the coming months.
Keeping mum
"Zynga's mission is to connect the world through games," the firm said in a statement.
"We are delighted to welcome Buzz Monkey to the Zynga family. This experienced and talented development team will form our newest satellite, Zynga Eugene."
Buzz Monkey's experience across multiple platforms makes the acquisition particularly interesting, though Zynga has not revealed what the outfit will be working on, simply stating it will turn its talents to "undisclosed Zynga projects."
The price of the sale was also not revealed.
