2010 was supposed to be the year that Samsung's new bada operating system was the company's focus.
It's been successful - to a degree at least, with a couple of million units shipped in Asia and Europe - but it's Samsung's Android powered Galaxy S smartphone that's really shining bright.
Doing the robot
Samsung has announced that having shipped one million units in the US within two weeks from its August 15 launch, the global figure is now up to five million.
This includes two million units sold in the US and one million in Korea.
On August 5, Google revealed it was activating 200,000 Android devices daily.
Next up for Samsung's Android push will be its Galaxy Tab tablet, which despite being more expensive than an iPad, is raising anticipation prior to its November launch.
