Christmas in Australia is about BBQs on the beach, cold VB, and licking your wounds after losing The Ashes (this year at least).
But while northern hemisphere notions of snow and reindeer don't make sense down under, that doesn't mean that Australian developers aren't getting into the festive season in terms of promoting their apps and selling them cheap.
So, as in 2009, a group of companies have got together to launch the Aussie App Sale website.
Solid as Ayers Rock
Launching on December 7 and ending January 2, 2011, it will work as a adirectory of featured apps and games, while developers are also encouraged to use the opportunity to cut the price of their content to gain further attention.
Apps included this year include are the million seller Fruit Ninja, every edition of the Gamebook Adventure series, and the Early Edition app.
Australian developers interested in having their app featured on Aussie App Sale should contact the team via the website.
