GetJar, the free app store, will be pre-installed on the upcoming Android-powered tablets from Pandigital and Skytex, two manufacturers in the US.
GetJar, has recently passed the 2 billion downloads mark, a feat which has obviously convinced the companies to provide it as part of their basic packages to consumers.
The perfect addition
Pandigital is providing GetJar on its Pandigital Planet, Pandigital Nova and Pandigital Star tablets.
"We are excited to partner with GetJar to provide the largest selection of today's most relevant and useful apps that meet our customers' needs extremely well," said Neil Yarian, vice president of business development at Pandigital.
"GetJar is the perfect addition to our new tablet line that offers users a choice in devices that best fit into their digital lifestyle - whether they are a student, a busy mom, a professional, or all three."
The Skytex Primer Pocket and SKYPAD Alpha 7" tablets will also be launching with GetJar pre-loaded.
"As we continue to grow into a popular destination for Android users, we are thrilled to be the app store of choice for all new Pandigital [and Skytex] Android devices," said Ilja Laurs, founder and CEO of GetJar.
"We expect that their users will enjoy and get great use out of a free app store preloaded onto their new device."
