Having made its European debut in the UK, cloud-based game streaming platform OnLive has made good on its plans to branch out across the continent.
OnLive has signed an agreement with Belgian telecoms giant Belgacom the largest telecommunications company in the country to roll out its on-demand service, bringing the platform's territory tally to three.
Big in Belgium
"Starting today, Belgacoms internet customers can discover OnLive's instant-play game service," the company said in a statement.
"Belgacom offers an exclusive one month free PlayPack subscription - normally 9.99 per month - with unlimited access to more than 200 games from more than 60 major publishers, with more games added weekly."
Initially, gamers in Belgium will only be able to play via PC and Mac, though the company has claimed that this is just the start of OnLive's onslaught, with tablet and smartphone play due imminently.
An eye beyond Europe
The company's European expansion comes against the backdrop of rival Gaikai's acquisition by Sony for $380 million, with the company having also signed a deal to support Samsung's range of smart TVs.
For its part, OnLive has lined up behind Samsung's own rival LG, while it also plans to support the forthcoming Android-based console Ouya.
