Following on from a similar deal with O2 Ireland in 2009, Irish mobile games service provider Seletra has announced it's to produce and manage a new games portal for Portuguese carrier Optimus.
The portal will serve up both J2ME and Android releases amongst others - with Selatra providing what is describes as a fully managed service.
In short, that means taking care of every element of the day to day running of the storefront from providing the games themselves, to operating the deck and distributing the releases.
Optimising Optimus
"This is an ideal scenario for a dedicated provider like Selatra and a vibrant brand like Optimus," said Selatra CEO Fergal O'Callaghan.
"Our cross-platform gaming solution enables Optimus to focus on their core business activities. This freedom is critical for operators that are committed to building their customer relationships and expanding to new market segments."
Optimus is the third largest operator in the Portuguese market behind TMN and Vodafone Portugal, with 2.8 million subscribers as of 2009.
