Cross-platform development tool Marmalade has announced an update to its SDK designed to add support both for iOS 6 and Apple's recently released iPhone 5.
The company claims developers tapping into the revised SDK will also be able to target both the iPad mini and the latest generation full-sized iPad, revealed during Apple's press event in San Jose in October.
Got the power
"We're delighted to be able to announce this enhanced iOS and iPhone support," said SDK head Tony Waters.
"The ability to target the very latest platforms and devices is crucial to our development community so consequently we have a fully loaded release pipeline, to ensure the Marmalade SDK is as up to date as possible in terms of cross platform support."
Other additions to the SDK include improved performance on all platforms sporting updated default ARM architecture, allowing developers to fully "exploit the power of the latest mobile devices."
The update comes little over two months after Marmalade added support for Windows 7 and Mac OS X to its roster, enabling mobile developers to port their titles to desktop platforms such as Steam.
Full details of what's included in version 6.1.2 of the SDK can be found on Marmalade's website.
