While were all still starry-eyed from a glimpse at the new Palm Pre and its inspiring WebOS formfactor, rumours of the next model to carry the superb new system have begun to circulate.
Tipsters have whispered in the ear of Palminfocenter.com that were likely to see a follow up to Palms Centro handset (pictured) this Autumn - probably launched in the US, as the Pre will be. The major difference, other than the operating system, will be the apparent removal of the QWERTY.
This rumour ties in with an article found on PCMag.com regarding the future of WebOS, which makes mention of a reduced cost candy bar Palm handset, which will feature an extended screen size to maximise on the operating systems use of cards.
With new Android handsets being announced every day, theres good reason to believe the consumer is now looking beyond hardware designs and turning their interests inward when buying a new phone making it good sense for Palm to crack on and establish WebOS in a variety of different handset styles. More as we get it.
