IUGO, ngmoco and ChAIR all confirmed for GDC Smartphone Summit

Two days, 13 sessions and 13 speakers

IUGO, ngmoco and ChAIR all confirmed for GDC Smartphone Summit
With GDC making its first foray into hosting a dedicated smartphone summit, organisers have revealed the line up of speakers due to host 13 sessions across the two day event.

The program is being billed by GDC as an attempt to take a detailed look at the various components of game design for smartphones, focusing on how studios can mirror the success others have already achieved.

Indies & Infinity

Topping the bill is IUGO Entertainment VP of business development Sarah Thomson, who is set to discuss how the studio 'rose above the noise' to become a successful independent outfit.

On the flip side, Donald Mustard – creative director at Epic Games subsidiary ChAIR Entertainment – will detail how the developer created recent $3 million grossing iOS smash Infinity Blade.

Also making an appearance is ngmoco live producer Caryl Shaw. With the studio's live team charged with extending the life of its line up through updates, Shaw will discuss how the group has functioned post launch.

Other speakers include Jet Set Games co-founder and president Rade Stojsavljevic, Microsoft's Allan Murphy, Spacetime Studios VP and creative director Cinco Barnes, Smule co-founder, CTO and CCO Ge Wang, com2us senior line producer Taeick Chang and both Jennie Lees and Chris Pruett from Google.

Taking place between February 28 and March 1 in San Francisco, the full line up of speakers can be found over on the official GDC website.

With a fine eye for detail, Keith Andrew is fuelled by strong coffee, Kylie Minogue and the shapely curve of a san serif font.
