Less than two months after it unveiled its new private exchange network, ad platform Nexage has announced that it's passed 100 billion ad requests and in some style.
The news was delivered via the platform's official blog, with CMO Victor Milligan comparing the ad exchange's achievement to a number of other current events revolving around a certain big number.
Milestones and McDonald's
"There are the threats and counter-threats of reducing the federal budget by $100 billion - by moving to 1-ply toilet paper, we hear," said Milligan.
"There is a small company in California that thinks they are worth $100 billion. There is the landmark comparison between McDonald's 100 billion hamburgers and mobile app installations that shook Ronald to the core.
"But enough of these co(s)mic trivialities
Nexage is pleased to announce that we have crossed the 100 billion ads requested threshold today, February 3, 2012."
Nexage steps
Milligan claims the landmark figure illustrates the pace of the mobile market's growth, claiming mobile is a "rapidly maturing" industry where customers rely on Nexage to "drive their business forward".
Nexage claimed back in December it was playing host to 12 billion monthly impressions, with more than 200 publishers and developers and 125 demand sources tapping into its network.
