Released as 'Yet Another 99c Doodle Jump Clone' (I paraphrase) in May 2010, Canadian developer Get Set Games demonstrated its ability to see the bigger when it turned Mega Jump freemium during the summer.
Focusing on audience feedback, and constant updates - 12 to-date - bringing in new levels, characters and powers ups, the game has since rocketed up the App Store download charts, breaching the 10 million mark.
Most of these have been on iOS, but an Android version was also released at the end of December.
Gimme more
Still, as with all freemium games, what's most important is how many people are buying the in-app purchases, which in this case are Mega Points, used to unlock content faster than through standard gameplay.
Get Set hasn't revealed anything about that, although the fact it's just raised the upper limit for IAP to include the range $24.99 - $94.99 suggests there are some very enthusiastic jumpers out there.
