Last week, we reported that Glu Mobile has taken its first step into ad-funded mobile gaming, by making its Space Monkey iPhone game free and including ads.
We didn't know who was responsible for supplying those ads, so we asked. And it turns out AdMob is the company that Glu has chosen to partner with for the title.
You can see an example of the ads, which appear in between levels at the bottom of the screen, on the left.
However, Glu tells us that the move is definitely an experiment - just the latest example of the publisher using Space Monkey to test different pricing models on the App Store.
In a quick playthrough, all the ads seemed to be from a single advertiser, mobile content firm Mywaves, but we daresay more will follow.
