RIM rules out making games for BlackBerry 10

Where now for RIM, following its decision to push back the launch BlackBerry 10 into early 2013?

CEO Thorstein Heins has an uphill struggle but he says focusing on the company's DNA - allowing "people to manage their life and have a very comfortable way of communicating" - will play off.

Windows Phone 8's break with platform's past a 'necessary evil', says Boonce programmer

The current hot topic in the industry is the Kickstarter campaign of Android-based console Ouya.

But while journalists appear to be bearish about its chances, developers are keen as mustard.

US start up Astrogun is one such, with its CEO Xander Davis telling us...

"If Ouya counts for anything, it's that there is now a clearly established market need and desire to give video game development power to the people.

"This is such a disruptive and exciting time, Astrogun wants to do everything it can to be ready for it as it happens, whether it will or not."
