Stateside: It's time for mobile devs to kick the IGF to the curb
With the Indie Games Festival right around the corner, last week saw Carter Dotson - senior writer at 148Apps - explain why mobile game devs might need to throw in the towel, and shift focus towards a new mobile event.
"It's fair to say the IGF has been anything but a friendly place for mobile games over the years."
"While organisers have made attempts to integrate mobile into the main awards, the recognition for the industry's biggest titles has just not been there."
"Perhaps, as an industry, we shouldn't worry about the IGF awards any more."

A tale of time and space: The making of Rymdkapsel
In our latest 'making of' we caught up with Martin Jonasson, creator of critically adored strategy game Rymdkapsel.
Jonasson explains how Rymdkapsel appeared, seemingly from nowhere, to become the latest 'darling child' of the indie scene. Eventually making it's way from PS Vita to the mobile market via iOS and Android.
"It just happened, really," says Jonasson. "I started working on the game right after GDC last year, mostly as a break from another project that was getting a bit tedious."
"The entire idea there was this tiny little concept of the station getting a hull breach, losing pressure and your little space-station-dudes would get blasted into space"
