Perhaps there weren't many surprises during Steve Jobs' WWDC 2010 keynote, but there's certainly a lot to think about, and some features will have significant implications.
So as developers are starting to digest the news about iPhone, as well as the forthcoming release of iOS 4, we've been catching up with key studios to get their views.
One such is Doodle Jump creator and Lima Sky co-founder Igor Pusenjak.
Pocket Gamer: What do you think will be the impact of iPhone 4?
The original iPhone completely redefined what we think of as a mobile phone - turning it into a true personal communication and entertainment device, and iPhone4 will start a new chapter in how we communicate with the introduction of FaceTime. I can't wait to explore the possibilities.
Are you worried about fragmentation in terms of the high resolution screen, gyroscope etc?
The high resolution screen looks absolutely amazing. The ability to have a pixel density of print on a screen is a true milestone. In a few years we'll look back at the screens of today and those will feel as the black and white LCD displays feel to us today.
Fragmentation is always an issue when new models are introduced, but Apple has so far done an incredible job of minimising the impact.
How will you be dealing with iPhone 4 in terms of new games and will you be doing any retrospective work to already released games?
We already have some exciting ideas about hot to use gyroscope for some fun control schemes and are planning on adjusting the art in our games for the new high resolution screens.
What do you think will be the impact of iOS 4?
Multitasking will be huge and Apple's proper implementation of it has been worth the wait.
Are you planning to use iAd?
We are very excited about iAd and all the metrics that Apple will be able to provide.
Were you surprised there was no mention of Game Center?
There's no surprise as Game Center was always scheduled to be released later this year.
Thanks to Igor for his time.
