No-one could accuse advertising network InMobi of lacking confidence.
While the rest of the world is focused on the launch of iAds and AdMob's apparent isolation from the iPhone market InMobi has been preparing a $2 million 'developer fund' which it believes will steal vital share from all such rival networks.
The fund, which follows the firm's launch in the US earlier this month, is designed to show the faith in its in-app set-up on iPhone, iPad, and Android.
Super split
Simply put, the fund results in InMobi abandoning its typical 60/40 ad revenue split between the developer and itself for a set period.
Instead, the developer gets to keep 100 percent of the revenue generated by the advertising until the $2 million fund is gone, whereby which the split returns to its normal set-up.
"It's an investment in our future together," InMobi says on its website.
"The money will be used to increase your mobile advertising application revenue stream and introduce you to the worlds largest independent mobile ad network.
"We are doing this to let the world's application developers know we are here, we are big, and we are ready."
Bigger than big
Indeed, InMobi claims it's now the world's largest independent mobile ad network, with 16.7 billion impressions reaching 179 million customers in 108 different countries.
Developers interested in signing up are advised to check out InMobi's website where they can pick up the SDK for iPhone, iPad and Android, with the fund is operating on a first come, first serve basis.
