The Quality Index boasts over 45,000 reviews from websites like 148Apps, Pocket Gamer, and Touch My Apps, and uses a unique metric to create a single definitive score for each iPhone title.
After fending off hordes of ravenous Necromorphs in EA's survival horror shooter, Dead Space's saw-wielding hero Vandal still had to submit to Disc Drivin' at the top of Quality Index's January rundown.
Elsewhere on the games chart, three - yes, three - sequels secured prime positions thanks to widespread praise: the perspective-switching Shift! 2, perpetual-springing NinJump Deluxe, and the puzzle-solving Broken Sword - The Smoking Mirror: Remastered.
