Samsung is attempting to draw new developers toward its self-developed bada OS in lots of ways - the latest being the bada 2.0 Power App Race competition.
It's a popularity contest-type event, which will start in 2012, with the first 10 submitted apps to achieve 100,000 downloads being announced as the winners.
Cash in
These 10 apps will be split equally between games and non-game apps, with each winner getting $100,000 in cash plus bada Partnership program benefits, and featured in exclusive promotions across Samsung Developers and Samsung Apps.
Themes and Widgets are not included in the challenge. It's also worth noting that bada 1.0 and 1.2 developed apps will not be valid. Developers will need to utilise the latest bada 2.0 SDK.
For more information on how to enter the competition - you have to register your intent by 31 December - visit the Samsung Developers website.
