Startup accelerator Yetizen has announced it will be hosting a workshop to educate developers on how best to monetise in-game virtual economies.
The event, titled 'Pushing the Edge of In-Game Virtual Economies', will feature two guest speakers, including Kabam's general manager Harry Liu.
The other speaker, from what's pitched as "another super popular gaming company", is yet to be announced.
Money well spent
Free-to-play developer Kabam claims to generate multiple million dollar revenues every month from its library of games, of which Liu oversees three: The Godfather: Five Families, EdgeWorld, and Final Eden.
Before joining Kabam, Liu developed and grew online dating site SpeedDate.com, while two of his previous startups were acquired by public companies.
The event will take place on 24 April at YetiZen's Innovation Lab at 540 Howard Street in San Francisco.
Early bird tickets are available for developers looking to network before the workshop.
Those looking to book their place should visit the event's Eventbrite page.
