GetJar's virtual currency platform GetJar Gold is enjoying a sustained period of growth according to stats released by independent app store, with more than 2.5 million users tapping into the system.
It's a double celebration for the firm, however, with GetJar also lifting the lid on two new partnerships, both with German social gaming specialist GameDuell and Latin American leader Vostu.
Both outfits have signed up titles to GetJar Gold, which launched for Android back in September 2011.
Worth its weight
"Vostu is very excited to be partnering with GetJar on our award-winning puzzle game Elemental," said Vostu CEO Matia Recchia.
"We are constantly aiming to create the best value for our customers and GetJar's Virtual Currency allows us to do that. Now millions of Vostu players around the world can take advantage."
Other big names also employing the platform include Halfbrick and Zynga, with GetJar CEO Chris Dury applauding the firm's new partnerships with Vostu and GameDuell.
"GetJar Gold Virtual Currency is a great monetisation solution for social gaming companies and it's great to have Vostu and Gameduell on board," he concluded.
"Social games lend themselves well to a common virtual currency to augment real cash."
