Glu Mobile has launched its first real-money gambling game a slots title based on its existing Samurai vs. Zombies Defense IP.
Samurai vs. Zombies Slots is the first product of Glu's strategic partnership with mobile gambling provider Probability plc, which handles all regulatory responsibilities for the title.
The game features jackpot prize of £6,000 (almost $9,000) and will be offered to "a broad range of Probability's partners," including Paddy Power, William Hill and various white label partners.
Ready to pounce
For now, Samurai vs. Zombies Slots is only available in the UK, although Glu is hopeful that regulatory relaxation will soon allow it to move into other regions such as the potentially lucrative US market.
"We are pleased to expand our mobile portfolio to include real-money gambling," explained Glu Mobile CEO Niccolo de Masi.
"We anticipate that real-money gambling will continue to gain momentum globally and believe that with this offering, Glu is well positioned to capitalise to the extent that additional markets adjust regulations."
"We plan to leverage Probability's extensive partner network to further extend Glu's successful original IP to new demographics."
