It's the time of the year when we're all looking forward, but market analyst company comScore is still crunching the figures from its monthly MobiLens service - it's just released November's data.
Trends we've seen throughout the year continue with Samsung the #1 mobile maker in America with 25.6 percent market share, up from 25.5 percent in October and 25.3 percent in August.
LG, Motorola and RIM continue to drift down, while Apple has a strong uplift - thanks to the iPhone 4S launch. The #4 OEM is up to 11.2 percent market share of the 234 million Americans (13 years or older), who use mobiles.
Google gobbles
As for mobile operating systems for smartphones, Google extends its lead from 43.8 percent in August and 46.3 percent in October to 46.9 percent in November.
According to comScore, 91.4 million Americans now own smartphones.
Apple was placed #2 with 28.7 percent market and RIM #3 on 16.6 percent. Microsoft is still slipping down as Windows Phone tries to find a market. It currently has a mere 5.2 percent share.
As for wider statistics, comScore says 44.9 percent of all mobile owners have downloaded an app - up 3.3 percent over three months - while 29.7 percent have played a game, up 1.2 percent over the same period.
ComScore generates its data via what it calls an "online survey of a nationally representative sample of mobile subscribers age 13 and above".
