Every week, Pocket Gamer sister site iPhone Quality Index (iPhone Qi) highlights the newest games to make a critical splash in the cool, seductive waters of the iPhone pool.
Grabbing scores and opinions from all corners of the web, including from 148Apps, AppGamer, and Slide To Play, Qi answers all your iPhone-related questions before you've even asked them.
Today, we're going to focus on two new contenders vying to be crowned king of your iPhone. Both are worthy, but do they have what it takes to win your head, your heart, and your wallet?
Magic moments
Rocketing into the top of the iPhone Qi net this week is First Touch's football nostalgia game Score! Classic Goals.
As the incredibly literal title implies, the game reproduces a selection of the most significant - or simply downright gorgeous - goals in the history of international football.
First, you play through the setup to the goal, tracing the intended path of the ball with your finger. Then, when it's time to put it away, just recreate the ball's original arc and watch as destiny takes its course.
Accuracy is key, so you'll have to make sure you mirror the real-world goal perfectly if you want all three stars in your trophy cabinet.
The folks over at 148Apps were cheering on Score! Classic Goals from the touchline, deeming it "a very responsive and very enjoyable experience".
Block-knocking feats
Making maths fun further down this week's Top 10 is the number puzzler Oh! Cube.
Drawing inspiration from Nintendo's Picross series, this block-based head scratcher brings nonograms into the third dimension, with addictive - but challenging - results.
You must reveal the hidden object by using numbers on the exterior of the 3D grid to determine which blocks to destroy.
By working out how many strings of consecutive 'object' blocks are in a particular row or column, you can gradually eliminate the non-essential cubes and reveal oddities like a right-angled bunny or an isometric fish.
Gamezebo's reviewer heartily recommends Oh! Cube's brand of brain-taxing fun, pointing out that whatever issues you might encounter with the steep difficulty curve, "they're worth getting over".
You can get the up-to-date information about which games are reviewing best over at the iPhone Quality Index.
