Nokia is the world's biggest handset manufacturer but as it transforms itself to make the most of the fast moving opportunities in mobile internet services, it needs to support its developers better.
That was the main conclusion from the audience of the first UK Ovi developers conference held in London.
So, while Nokia UK MD Mark Loughran pointed out the scale of the market for games and apps - it's sold 1.2 billion phones to date - developers said ease of development, and discovery on the Ovi Store had to be improved.
Nokia seems to be listening.
Benjamin Roszczewski of Forum Nokia EMEA said the company was working on a QA system that would require only one version of any app to be built and approved.
Improvements to the Ovi Store should also improve the ability to users to find or have recommended the apps they want or might enjoy.
