Taiwanese phone manufacturer HTC (TPE:2498) had announced its audited financials for 2010.
Total revenue was $9.4 billion, up 90 percent on its 2009 total.
Net income was $1.4 billion, up 75 percent.
The company ended 2010 with $2.3 billion in cash and cash equivalents.
Getting bigger
As we pointed out when it announced its broadly similar unaudited accounts, having fully backed the year's biggest emerging platform in Android, as well as supporting Microsoft's Windows Phone 7, it's no surprise that the company has posted some very impressive numbers for 2010.
HTC CEO Peter Chou says he expect the company's growth to remain in double digits through 2011. Indeed, HTC will double the production capacity at its Shanghai plant to two million handsets per month, as well as branching out into tablets.
During 2010, HTC shipped 24.6 million handsets, up 110 percent compared to the 11.7 million it shipped in 2009.
