Less than 16 months since iPad first rolled out onto the shop shelves, the total number of apps written exclusively for the tablet has passed the 100,000 mark.
That's according to numbers studied by MacStories, which reports that there is now a total of 100,161 iPad-exclusive apps listed on the App Store, exactly 453 days post launch.
Apps away
The number is up over 25,000 apps from the 75,000 milestone passed at the end of March, meaning iPad gains around 203 apps a day, or 1,422 titles a week.
At this rate, iPad will hit the 200,000 apps mark at some point in November 2012.
Back at WWDC 2011, Apple revealed there are more than 425,000 apps available for iPad including iPhone titles with 25 million units having been sold since launch.
